- 1987: B.A. in Computer Science from Texas Lutheran University
- 1987-1999: Release manager/Developer relationship manager for PC Client/Server software platform from IBM Personal Software Products and then Test manager for IBM's Interactive Media and PC Gaming Division
- 2001: Stumbled into technology teaching at Charlottesville Catholic School and then Mountaintop Montessori
- 2012: Founded Tech-Girls with a mission to empower girls to imagine and achieve their future dreams in our tech-savvy world.
- 2013: M.Ed. with a focus on Leadership from Mary Baldwin University
- 2014:
- K-8 Computer Science Program Coordinator at St. Anne's-Belfield School helping the school go from no CS education to every K-8 student in the school doing CS integration projects.
- Founding board member of non-profit, Charlottesville Women in Tech and CWIT became the umbrella organization for Tech-Girls.
- Chair of the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council's Tech Tour through 2018.

- Co-founded the Spark Hackathon with Zach Minster, 9-12 CS Coordinator at St. Anne's-Belfield School.

- Co-founded the CS Institute with Zach Minster. This is an annual summer professional development experience for K-12 educators who want to start their journey into CS education.

- 2018: Joined the board of the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council

- Co-host of the podcast Once Upon a Tech with Sarah FitzHenry.
- Helped bring Charlottesville Computer Science Community ecosystem together
- 2020: Started as an Ed.D. student at the University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development

- Successfully defended my Capstone Proposal
- Helped launch and direct the Global Center for Equitable Computer Science Education
- 2023: Completed Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Computer Science education and Innovation from the University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development
- Successfully led the the UVA lab school planning team in proposing and setting up the UVA Innovation Hub at Charlottesville Middle School
- 2024: Co-founded Roversa Robotics
- Participated in the SXSW I-Corps Immersive Cohort
- 2025: Became CEO of Roversa Robotics
